Ryan Farrar, MS, Sports Performance Coach and Trainer

Prior to joining Nutriformance, Ryan attended Missouri State University before transferring to Truman State University where he achieved a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. Ryan also earned minors in biology, psychology & health studies. Ryan is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. While at Truman State, Ryan played goalkeeper for the Varsity soccer team and holds a career goals against average of 0.75.  Ryan was also very involved in campus life; holding leadership positions in several campus organizations. After completing his undergraduate degree, Ryan then pursued his Master’s of Kinesiology at Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville.

Ryan has past experience in metabolic testing, sport performance enhancement, cardiac & pulmonary rehabilitation and personal training. In the April 2010, The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research featured a research study completed by Ryan titled “Oxygen Cost of Kettlebell Swings”; this study sought to determine the aerobic challenge of a widely used kettlebell exercise. Ryan’s research was also presented at the 2009 NSCA National Conference.

Prior to college, Ryan was an All-First team and All-State goalkeeper.  Ryan currently holds the 8th most shut-outs in Missouri high school soccer history and is the only goalkeeper in Missouri high school history to record assists in back to back games from a punt. He is also certified by National Soccer Coaches Association of America as a Regional Goalkeeper Instructor and continues to train young soccer players around the St. Louis area.

  • 35 Shutouts over 3 years, ranked #8 in Missouri high school soccer history.
