Before joining Nutriformance and Athletic Republic 15 years ago, Randy completed his undergraduate studies at Truman State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology and Pre-Physical Therapy. During this time, Randy interned at an outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine facility in St. Louis. His responsibilities included direct patient contact in exercise instruction, and modalitytreatment in a general orthopedic and sports medicine outpatient clinic. He was then employed at an outpatient physical therapy clinic for approximately one year applying and refining his skills in rehabilitative exercise and one-on-one patient care.
Randy has lectured in the St. Louis area for various organizations and businesses. Topics included weight training for special populations, balance training, sports-specific training, and travel exercise programs. He has written articles for Muscle and Fitness, Men’s Fitness, and the American Council on Exercise (ACE) where he also served on the test writing committee for the Personal Trainer certification exam. Randy has also served as a committee member for the National Strength and Conditioning Association-Missouri Chapter. At Athletic Republic, Randy is responsible for managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of all client exercise programs, and coordinating/conducting continuing education for the trainers. He promotes teamwork amongst the sports performance coaches to ensure that all athletes receive the safest and most comprehensive programming. Randy is also the Director of Personal Training for NutriFormance with 14 years of experience in the fitness and sports enhancement industry.

His specialization includes post-rehabilitation training for the knee, low back and shoulder, sports-specific agility and power training, functional flexibility, and balance training.
Randy’s personal philosophy is that the body is capable of self-improvement through proper exercise and nutrition. His extensive background in the scientific approach to fitness, and the accessibility to current research and expert advice in physical medicine allows Randy to set high standards and utilize comprehensive planning to ensure that his clients meet their goals.
