Lisa has been in the fitness industry for over 14 years. Lisa became AFAA certified in the group fitness field after her first baby was born. She is certified in group fitness, personal training, and weight training. She studied kinesiology and Mat Science. Getting bored with the “step aerobics” era, Lisa implemented a “boot camp style” fitness program eight years ago, that she has taught in various facilities and local parks for a fun, outdoor workout.
As a mother of three, Lisa stresses healthy lifestyle choices of proper eating and exercise, rather than “dieting” and striving to be what we are not. Lisa believes in empowerment through exercise, from children needing confidence, to men and women wanting strength and encouragement. Lisa loves to work with children, teaching them that exercise can be fun and encouraging them to make positive choices for a healthy life.
Lisa was instrumental in bringing the Komen Race for the Cure to St. Louis in 1999. She was on the founding volunteer committee with Washington University doing the necessary studies to bring the race to St. Louis. Lisa worked as fitness coordinator for the first two years as the warm-up leader for the runners.
Lisa’s passion is mixing fun with fitness. She loves to be outdoors whether it is running, gardening, or biking with her kids. Lisa studied classical piano for thirteen years and still loves to play as often as time allows. Lisa enjoys being able to work with clients and show them how great it is to do what you love.
