Have you been trying to lose weight and find that you are still constantly hungry? Other than making sure you’re eating frequently (every 3-4 hours), try making sure you are hitting your requirements for fiber each day.

Foods rich in fiber are usually low in fat and calories, and are also more filling. Studies show that people who consume more fiber weighed less than those who consume less fiber.

Try adding a vegetable or fruit in with each meal and snack as well as consuming whole grains with 3-5 grams of fiber per serving.

Added bonus: fiber is also a good prevention for heart disease, cancer and helps with lowering cholesterol and slowing the uptake of glucose for diabetes.

Women aim for 25g per day and Men 38g per day. And, do not forget when increasing fiber increase your water intake as well.
