Heidi joins the NutriFormance staff after relocating to the St Louis area in May 2008. She brings with her 15+ years post-graduate professional experience. Following her BS at University of Wisconsin – Madison (1990) and MA at Michigan State University (1992), she worked as a certified athletic trainer for 10 years in Division I collegiate athletics working with athletic injury care and prevention in all sports, but specializing in rowing, volleyball, and track and field.
For the past 5+ years she transitioned her skills toward the personal training profession and has worked with a wide variety of client needs. Her special niche is injury prevention, post-physical therapy goals, and postural conditioning for individuals of all ages and abilities including seniors. In addition she has worked with clients with special considerations including: Parkinson’s, Alzheimers, mild Cerebral Palsy, and mild Autism.
Heidi’s achievements and certifications include:
- NATA/BOC – Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
- NSCA – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
- American Red Cross – CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer
Heidi’s approach to personal training is to first help clients find where they are successful and then provide them with expertise and tools to help them move safely and effectively toward new goals and better health.
